Asian Kho Kho Championship 2023: Tamulpur of Baksa district, BTR Assam, will host the upcoming 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship 2023. The Participants will be coming from 10 Asian countries in this four-days mega Kho Kho event.
The 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship 2023, a sports event for men and women, will take place from 20 to 23 March 2023 at Tamulpur Higher Secondary School playground in Tamulpur, Assam. Tamulpur is a sub-division of Baksa district in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) of Assam state. It is a matter of pride for Bodoland and India as an International sports event will be held in a rural area, setting an example.
With the aid of BTR Govt., the fourth Asian Kho Kho Championship 2023 is organized by the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) and hosted by the Assam Kho Kho Association (AKKA). The government of Assam also extended its support for the competition.

Indian Teams
Indian Team Selection is going on at the moment. The selection and the coaching camp will be held at the outdoor stadium in Sarusojai Sports Complex from March 14 to 18 of March.
Rajib Prakash Baruah, the president of the AKKA has said, “70 players, including men and women, will participate in the selection and coaching camp in Guwahati. The team India will be announced on March 18, 2023”.
Assam Players List
Tirtha Deka of Sonapur and Ranjana Sarania of Tamulpur from Assam are on the probable list. The AKKA president said that among the two players, at least one player from Assam will be included in the Indian team.

Preparation
Massive efforts are being made by the BTR government led by Pramod Boro to create a beautiful sports environment.
The Authority has built a temporary makeshift indoor stadium in Tamulpur with three courts. Approx 10,000 people will be able to watch the game. The matches will be played on mats and outdoors.

The KKFI president Shri Sudhanshu Mittal, KKFI GS Shri M S Tyagi, AKKA president Rajib Prakash Baruah, and BTR Chief and Chairman of AKKA Pramod Boro visited the Tamulpur for inspection of ongoing preparations for the 4th Asian Championship of Kho-Kho championship 2023 along with media interaction.
