BITS full form Birla Institute of Technology and Science, is a top engineering college located in Pilani, and other 4 campuses spread across Goa, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Dubai. Every year the BITS Pilani admit students to their institutes through the entrance exam named BITSAT.
BITS Pilani has announced the registration of the BITSAT 2022 exam. The exam will be conducted in 2 sessions, the registration of session 1 has already started from 14 March 2022 to 21 May 2022, and session 2 registration will begin from 21 June 2022 to 7 July 2022.

BITSAT 2022 Details
If you are wondering what to study after passing your 12th or equivalent exams in 2022 with Science Stream. You should go for Engineering or Medical courses. But where to study and in which college do you need to be admitted?

On passing the BITSAT 2022 on merit, you will get admission directly to BITS Pilani or one of its campuses as per the seat allocation features of the particular campuses of BITS Pilani.
BITSAT 2022 will be conducted in an online Computer Based Test- CBT mode by the BITS authority. The BITSAT exam for the year 2022, is categorized into two sessions i.e. Session 1 & 2. Each Session will have different registration dates but the registration process and syllabus will be the same.
BITSAT 2022 Sessions
BITSAT exam will be conducted twice in 2022. The first exam is named Session 1, and the second one is called Session 2.
Candidates (Students) can apply for single sessions or both sessions (separately). If your session 1 exam didn’t go well or you want to give it another try, you can also apply for session 2. Appearing in session 2 will give you another chance to improve your score. The best score from any two sessions will be counted for the final marks ranking. Eligibility Criteria
BITSAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The required eligibility criteria for the BITS 2022 exam are shared below:
- For admission to all the programs offered except B. Pharm: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
- For admission to B. Pharm: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for the Pharmacy program.
- The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.
- Only Students who are appearing for the 12th examination in 2022 or who have passed the 12th Examination in 2021 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2022 test.
Note – BITSAT 2022 Direct Admission Eligibility: First rank holder students of State and Central boards in India for the year 2022 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2022 score as per the eligibility criteria.

As per the guidelines of the BITS 2022 exam, the interested candidates are allowed to register for both the sessions of BITSAT 2022 according to the prescribed schedules respectively.

How to apply BITSAT 2022?
The steps to apply BITSAT 2022 are discussed below:

- Click on ‘Allow me to apply online’ after reading all the instructions.
- If you are a new user, click on the New Registration button. If you have already registered, to continue your application click on the Already Registered Candidate button.
- Fill the online application.
- Upload scanned images of photograph and signature. The image should be in jpg/jpeg format only. Size of photo image must be between 50 kb to 100 kb. Size of signature image must be between 10 kb to 50 kb.
- Pay fee payment through online payment mode.

Syllabus 2022
The interested candidates of BITSAT 2022 need to study these papers for their BITS 2022 Entrance Exam- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning.
The BITSAT-2022 test will be conducted based on the NCERT syllabus for the 11th and 12th classes. Candidates may refer to the NCERT textbooks for the contents. A sample test demonstrating the features of BITSAT-2022 will be made available to the registered candidates at the BITS admission website, on which they can practice as many times as desired. Exam Pattern
All the Questions of the 2022 BITS entrance exam will be in MCQ type. Each session of BITSAT-2022 will be a total of 3 hours duration. The tests’ sessions consist of four parts:
- Part I: Physics
- Part II: Chemistry
- Part III: English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning
- Part IV: Mathematics or Biology
Negative marking: All questions of BITSAT 2022 are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark).
BITSAT 2022 Results
2022 BITSAT results will be declared on the official website of BITS Pilani. We’ll update details about the 2022 BITSAT results here. However, after the test, the computer will announce to the candidate the number of total correct answers and wrong answers, with the score. After completing the test, the candidate will log out of the test only after entering the scored marks in the test window. The candidate cannot log out without entering the test window’s correct scores. This activity confirms that the student has checked their marks before logging out of the test window.
The candidate can check their score report at the BITS admission website on the next day of their test date. The candidate can also take a printout of their score report for any further usage.
BITSAT 2022 Admission Process
After the result date for BITSAT 2022 is announced, applying candidates need to check their results on the official website of BITS Pilani.
Admissions in First Degree programs at BITS Pilani are done by one of the following schemes:
- Admission through BITSAT-2022 score.
- Admission through SAT test score under International Student Admissions.
- Admission under Board Topper Scheme.
