Kokrajhar now has its first-ever medical college called Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital (KMCH). It is the only medical college in the Kokrajhar district of Assam and will soon start full-scale operations. This is good news for those looking for a medical college in the Bodoland area. The government laid the foundation stone for the college on January 6, 2019, and it is the 10th medical college in Assam. Recruitment for technical and non-technical positions at KMCH has already started, and the last date for application is February 24, 2023. The college’s opening date will be announced soon after the recruitment process is completed. This is a significant achievement for the region’s medical infrastructure.

BTR Chief Pramod Boro has yesterday i.e. on 12 April 2023 in Kokrajhar Medical College to inspect the preparations for the upcoming inauguration of the newly built Medical College in Kokrajhar. The Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital is currently undergoing final preparations and is expected to be ready for the inauguration ceremony on 14 April 2023.
